What This Site Can and Cannot Tell You

Basement moisture rarely has a single cause. Grading, downspouts, groundwater pressure, foundation type, age of the home, prior repairs, and interior finishes all change what the right repair is. Two basements with the same stain on the wall can need completely different work.

Nothing on this site should be treated as a diagnosis, an engineering opinion, or a recommendation for your specific property. An in-person inspection is the only way to identify the water path and the right fix.

Cost ranges

The cost tables on our service pages are planning ranges for typical Baltimore area projects. They are not quotes and they are not a price guarantee. Costs move with access, excavation, drainage routing, materials, electrical work, permits, demolition, and restoration.

Photographs on this site are illustrative. They show the kinds of conditions and work described in the text and are not presented as before and after documentation of a specific customer project.

Results, Warranties, and Outside Sources

No guaranteed outcome

Waterproofing reduces and controls water. Weather, groundwater levels, changes to the property, landscaping, gutter maintenance, and future work by others all affect how a basement performs over time. Any warranty that applies to your project is the one written into your signed agreement.

Errors and updates

We keep this site current, but details change and mistakes happen. If you find something that looks wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Emergencies

If water is actively entering your home, if you see standing water near electrical equipment, or if you are concerned that a wall or structure is unsafe, do not wait for a website. Stay out of the area, shut off power to the space if you can do so safely, and call a qualified professional or emergency services.
